Chesapeake Public Schools are one of the main reasons families choose to live here—and why many stay. My goal is simple: keep our schools in the top tier of Virginia’s education system while ensuring classrooms stay focused on learning, not politics.

Our schools should work for every student and every family. Education decisions should be fair, balanced, and centered on student success—not driven by political agendas or special interests. When politics enter the classroom, it divides communities and distracts from what truly matters: educating our children.

Strong schools are built on clear communication, parental involvement, and high expectations. Parents should feel welcomed, heard, and respected as partners in their children’s education. Teachers should be supported so they can focus on teaching. Students should be given the tools they need to succeed, no matter their background.
